On the Olympic green in Beijing it was the hockey final , the gold medal match .
A young German team versus an experienced team from Spain , But who would rule the patch .
As the Germans and the Spaniards took to the field , they held their hockey sticks in their hand .
The crowd sang in Spanish and German but somehow in Beijing no one could understand ,
The colour of the white house or why Chicago decides .
All that mattered was the game .
Hockey fans from Germany and Spain jumped and screamed for their team.
They all went half insane .
Then a shot fired by Zeller went into the roof of the net . Germany were one up .
The noise went up another notch as the crowd went crazy and the singing never stopped .
As the teams went off at half time on came dancers and pop stars , they where kung fu fighting ,
The crowd were passionate and hot blooded ,
It was very nail biting and exciting .
After the break the second half began
and a hockey fever ran most voices hoarse .
The noise went another level up ,
It was one nil still
and the game had run its course .
Congratulations with the victory to Germany ,
The memory of it all .
What magic it was to see such great skill and technique with a hockey stick and a ball .
