I'm standing in the shadows of life trying to hide the tears from my eye .
I'm wondering if the shadow you shed is ever going to pass me by .
For all the shadows that follow me won't ever allow others to see .
Maybe someday someone will see me there and they can set my shadows free .
I'm trying to find a way to make them see but you're everywhere I go ,
You've crippled my mind like a dark ghost of time,
I'm haunted by your shadow .
I close my eyes and I look away because I know that you'll soon be here
and there's no where for me to run so I'm hiding in the shadows of fear .
