Halloween Fires : Narrative Poetry

There's little children on the street ,

dressed up and having fun .

Someone is knocking on the door ,

its cold and winters come.

Can you spare a penny

for Halloween is here tonight .

School is finished for a while

and there's no lessons now to learn .

Everyone can sit around

and watch the bonfires burn .

The moon is rising higher

and the fires are burning bright  .

Standing by the fire,

as the winter wind is howling,  

cats are crying,

mice are screeching

and the dogs are growling .

As the little children close their eyes ,

Halloween has fled  .

Oh the fires are burning still 

as the kids are now in bed .
