Fear In Flight : Narrative Poetry

written by Poet : Paul McCann

The rain's been tumbling from the sky ,

the rivers now are very high  .

The cyclone came in like a train

to outback stations without a name

But where's the place called exodus

there's are no roads to take a bus

Oh fear In flight , something's not right

     There's a flood we're in its flight

All right , its like what do we do ,

We live with fear of drowning  too  .

On streets the rivers running fast ,

For a while there  the rain had passed

and in  waiting rooms no one waits

except crocodiles from the lakes .

Many dangers but we'll be fine

soon the sun will return to shine .

When the sun shines down on our heads

and oysters are back in their beds

we can say from fear we'll be  free

where storms won't trouble you or me   .
