Christmas is an opportunity to reach out for tomorrow .
Here on earth we are all bound to the things
that we want follow .
But there is a place that we arrive ,
at the end of every year .
The destination is Christmas .
and it is always there so near .
Walking alone or with family
on the roads we cannot see .
We are almost in a wilderness
and part of life's mystery .
Mary and Joseph had a hard old road
with many miles to tread .
Bound for Bethlehem they had
no place where they could lay down their head .
There are parallels we can see
and the roads can lead us to where ,
we find real peace and joy in our lives
with Jesus Christ our savior .
Jesus always invites us
to share the miracle of his birth ,
making a way to keep us on the straight and narrow
here on earth .
Keep the child alive ,
gently call his name at Christmas time each year .
There is a guiding light
and everything will become very clear .
All that we want is to have a happy Christmas
and peace on earth .
Alone or together
we stand with the child born in Bethlehem .
Come walk with me Jesus
and allow me to find Christmas for them .
