It's as cold as ice this time of year with snow droplets in the air .
All the ranch hands have gone home to spent some time with families there .
It's Christmas for the cowboy and his expectations have begun ,
For he'll hang up his saddlebag in the hope that Santa will come .
On a sleigh with a sack for the cowboy who's come home for a while .
He knows back there in the stable at the end of a country mile ,
Its empty and quiet at this time of year when Santa's on his way .
So happy Christmas to the cowboy who is home for Christmas Day .
