Cats And Dogs On A Winters Night : Animal Poetry

My little baby boys and girls are all asleep in bed .
It won't be long till morning comes
and winters night has fled .
Sleep now my little ones
and I can get some housework done .
Tonight will be a stormy night
its not a time for fun .
Oh but its a winters night ,
the moon is rising higher .
Pussy cats are outside crying .
I'm standing by the fire .
The dogs have give up growling ,
now they're prowling off their lead .
The bitter wind is howling,  its a cold old night indeed !
I finished washing dirty dishes ,
washed the dirty clothes .
I've scrubbed the dirty kitchen floor ,
my eyes begin to close .
Oh but its a cold winters night ,
the rain turns into snow .
It's great to be tucked up in bed
with no place else to go .
