A Wee Bit Of Green : Seasonal Poetry

 
It really does amaze me, what happens every year , all the people wearing green when St Patrick's day is here .
Being Irish for a day ,people feel the need to show ,
something stirs within them, their Irish blood begins to flow.
So I was thinking of the things we Irish like to do ,
I thought you might be interested ,
I'll share a few with you.
We educate with our Humour with poetry and song ,
we love to tell the stories of the land where we come from.
Religion is a way of life it etches all we do,
we make the world a better place by saying prayers for you.
Its important to be Irish in such a simple way ,
that you're proud to wear the green with us on St Patrick's day.
