A Mile From Inishfree : Childrens Poetry

I'm rowing in a curragh boat a mile from Inishfree .
Look I can see a little duck
that's swimming out to sea .
One stroke ,push pull ,
two stroke's push pull ,it's easy as can be ,
I think I'll catch a little duck
and take it home for tea .
I grabbed that little duckie and I put it on my knee .
I took it home to Daddy and me Mammy said ,
Goodie! We've got a duck for dinner now I'll pluck it ,
One , two , three!
"If I'm not here for breakfast ,
I'll be rowing out to sea .
