Christmas in the country is a special time of year .
Drop in for a visit as you're always welcome here .
Sit down by the fire and feel a Christmas warmth appear .
The city can not reach you , there's nothing here to fear .
Scarecrows have turned to snowmen in fields of snowy white .
Fields are lined with pine trees decorated with starlight .
Days are short of shadows , there's a welcome on the mat .
There's country comfort here and the turkeys has got fat .
