We have a problem you and me, with our inability to see
That this Nation is losing all of its sense of rationality
With global health in decrease, and all the third world countries pleas
For us to help them ease the pain and suffering in which their seized
We ignore the atrocities within our own country as we please
While government lackeys spin a web for a public to make them feel at ease
Safe behind the curtain of our country are we, most undoubtedly
The community of zombies programmed for unity within perplexity
Thinking that our enemies, and HIV disease are all in foreign countries
We watch our TV’s like dummies, more concerned with the Grammy’s
Or the Emmy’s than with the realities of a land in so much calamity
The newspaper marquees filled with celebrities and their follies tease
The massing groupies who whirl into frenzies of envy over the newest babies
And turn a blind eye to stories that displease their fragile sense of reality
We refuse to see in our ambiguity that the term “Pandemic” includes us collectively
As a Nation of Democracy part of the global dynamic and not just foreign entities
Fundamental necessity demands the gravity of reality be publicly available instantly
The possibility of HIV being locally residing is in fact a certainty and not a Fallacy.
Education blindly and regularly refuses responsibility to educate on a technicality
Saying that the stories with subjects like these should be discussed only in privacy
The seventies and the eighties saw volleys of entries describing a disease in its infancy
Now almost 3 decades later it runs free globally and the cure only seems but a fleeting fantasy
We have a problem you and me, in our inability to see the true reality of HIV
Over one million unfortunately are infected in our own Communities, and that's a reality
Take on the responsibility to educate yourself honestly about HIV and its impact globally
