filled with poison
inserted into lifeless veins
for the instant high

pain is never buried
it always surfaces

to an ongoing problem
deep inside it eats away
like a cancer
from the inside out
no relief in sight
from the slow death
of heroin paradise.
Zombie eyes vacant
aimlessly staring
into nothingness
tired and hungry
looking for money
any way you can get it
no matter the price
selling your soul
out of control
digging your own hole
in drugging your mind.
