One Lucky Kid
I was not your son,
you were not my father.
I was not your child why bother?
You had no son, I had no dad.
We were all each other had.
You took me under your wing,
and showed me everything.
Who knows what my life would be today,
if you had not showed me the way.
No telling where I would be,
if you were not there for me.
I do not know why you did what you did,
but thank you, from one lucky kid.
