Born to be a Father
Born on fathers day,
it was my destiny to be a father in that same that way.
Taught the way of my father and his before,
ways I will teach my child and he will teach his therefore.
Teaching past from generation to generation,
every day with them brings a new revelation.
Only to proud to be like my dad,
reflecting on all the good times we had.
Time spent will always be treasured,
a bond held impossible to measure.
Molding them from the lessons I have learned.
They will teach it to their kids when it is their turn.
My labor of love to provide and protect,
Valuable quality time one must not neglect.
Once again able to relive those youthful joys,
teaching things fathers teach their little boys.
My daughter holds the key to my heart.
Always amazed how children there age could be so smart.
Try to give them everything I didn’t have,
with the watchful eye from dear ole dad.
Proud to be a father and I love my kids,
my destiny is to make them have a better life than I did.
