I live in the country,
where it's peaceful and quiet;
such a wonderful existence,
there's no denying it.
You can hear the wind in the trees,
The buzz of the bees,
hear the bullfrog croak,
with a song in his throat.
The lowing of cattle,
not the sound of battle;
the scurry of mice,
not the roll of dice.
The cooing of a dove,
with it's song of love;
I wish no surcease,
in these moments of peace.
