To the woman who hates me : Inspirational Poetry

With this world filled with such hatred

I don't want it to be this way

I've not done nothing so wrong

Trying to make up for the past

And defend the man I love

You have no idea

How much that I love him

I am constantly reminded day after day

Of the mistakes I have made

I am only human

With my heart so fragile

It has been broken and torn into shreds

I feel the blood dripping down into my chest

The pain is excruciating

I stay to myself most of the time

Alienated from all to keep from being hurt

You have to understand

What it is like for me

My children are raised and out on their own

So now it's just me and the man that I love

The things I have done

Are forgiveable

For I do it out of love

to protect my precious ones

I know you can't possibly understand

Put yourself into my shoes

Imagine for a moment

What it's like to be all alone

Getting up and going to work

It's a chore now for me

Not knowing from day to day

What's going to happen to take him away

The man that I love

Truly Madly and deeply

I really am a kind human being

Just trying to protect my fragile heart and the man that I love

Don't think so harshly of me

For being in love with him
