Leather & Cancer

Leather & Lace...NO... Leather & Cancer

I fought the good fight and I'm still alive

I wear my leather as a show of strength

a pink ribbon is my war eblem

I was close enought to death to sit down

with him and play a round of poker

this time I held the aces

Time is precious to me now

more than ever before

I don't take any breath for granted

and I 'm stronger now

I ride, I wear leathers, and I proudly display

my pink ribbon

	I understand! I do know what you are going and have been through. I too have cancer. Mine is lymphoma. I went through the chemo process last year and am currently in remission. Not knowing what I would of left behind was the scariest of all! Thank you for sharing your poem. We are not alone in this terrible fight!
