If you read the Bible, John wrote: In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
Through him all things were made; Without him nothing was made that had been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has never understood it.
As I meditate on his word I see the power of the word. It can free the spirit. It can raise the dead. It can confuse those who don't wish to except it. Within the word is the power of God. of life of death, and of eternity.
Guard your words well. For once spoken they can not be taken back. Words can be used for good or for bad. My problem is a mouth that speaks before it realizes the complexity and or the extent of which it's power lies.
Oh how many times I've regreted what I've said. Yet once spoken. The word was there. To hurt, or to uplift. I pray forgiveness to those I've hurt with my words. A loose tongue is a powerful tool for bad as well as good.
My prayer is that I choose my words always knowing the strength within. For with the spoken word the world was formed and with the word it shall be destroyed. For we were made in the image of God. Formed by the spoken word of God.
Take heed when speaking for it is what comes out of the mouth that defiles a man. I am not a religious man but I understand the truth in what was written. For I don't just read words. I meditate on them.
I am I was and I shall always be. If nowhere else, in the mind of God.
