A long drawed out breath as the last breath was taken. Darkness only to see the brightest of lights calling. Those who went before. Voices of loved ones who died in their youth. Warmth of the light draws the heart ever closer.
Screams in the courtyard. Why does the warm blood flow like rain splashing from each slash. The sword another heart to take. As we keep warm in the bowels of the enemy as the heat slowly fades. Cold and stiff by morning light. So red is the night.
