No One's There : Dark Poetry

written by Poet : cavirzanee

Walking in the morning, just before light, I heard a voice behind me. Someone I know? I might. But as I turned no one's there. Glimps of a shadow, even in a constant stare. Then again, no one I know. No ones there.

Hide away my dusty soul, soiled by time. Black as the blackest coal, Cover me in grime.Find myself now torn apart. Dark, alone, and without a heart. Chasing shadows on the wall. As if someone were there at all. Live like you don't care. Then again, no ones there.

Watched as the reaper crossed the river Styx. or maybe it was a dream. The shoe maker and gate keeper were in a fix. Frightened I heard him scream. Scarlet red the blood that flowed. As with his sickle, dead. His crops were mowed. Upon a black horse in the shadows to ride. Death ever near. No place to hide.
