Before the morning, before the break of day. I contemplate the year I left behind. Christmas tree still lit, What in the New Year will I find?
Have I opened My heart? Did you understand? Or have all my words confused you? Then what did I accomplish? Did anything seem true?
I make my resolution. But is there a solution? To change the heart of a man? Is there anyone who can? I fight myself everyday, A struggle all the while.No matter what I do or say, troubles on me pile.
Can I show you the way when I can't find the door? Do you care what I say? It really doesn't matter anymore. I must take care of me you must take care of you. When all is said and done. What's real is what's true.
So my resolution is to lighten up this year. I'll ignore the pain the hurt and the fear. So lift your glass drink a toast let the party begin. I'm not here to boast. I'm here to win. When all is said and done. It's all up to you. Drink your drink, have your fun. Soon you'll know what is true.
