Mister President : Classical Poetry

written by Poet : cavirzanee

So we see another tragidy. People lay dead in the streets. A child all alone. Seeking a little food to eat.

Buildings now just rubble on the ground. Can you hear the children crying. Old folks Brused and battered. So many dieing.

How even as broke as we are can we look away. Our country on the brink. Yet we do all we can. Makes me think.

We have a war with terrorist, Tell me where are they? We have oil cartels in the middle east. What have they to say?

The Chineese government gave a million. When they could give much more. But why when we will and borrow even more. President Obama will talk about our faults. Seems to me, He cares more about the terrorist cults.

Then we have a health care plan, we know we can't afford. We'll steal the money from the seniors. Tell me what else we have in store?

Now we don't want to upset the union. Their vote is a must. What is America going to do. When we're broke, all our treasuries a bust.

I think we need to wake up. Been asleep to long. All this bribery to get what congress wants is wrong.

Let's help the Haitians but let us pay off our dept. forget this health care. It's jobs stupid. Tell me did you forget? Next time you put America down. Remember all the good we've done. Cause if you think Mr. president you look like the clown. And that's no fun.

Our country has had our share of tragidies. Where was the world? I think it's a shame our leaders will do more for the world than it's own people. Congress has gotten a raise every year for some time. Why don't they give up there salaries give it to the poor? Most of them don't have any idea what it is to be jobless.  Maybe we the people need to stand up. It would be nice to see leaders who are concerned about the people of the United States, instead of just there votes.
