Mom, Why can't I take your place. I long to see you smile. If I could remove the pain on your face. If I could hold you for a while.
Mom, I long to hear your voice. Even if to hear you scold me. Yet here I am without choice. I have to wait as the doctors told me.
When I see you in such pain, It cuts me to my soul. Aneurism in your brain. That seems to have taken it's toll. More over it has taken you from me. You no longer know my name. I pray your mind awakes so you can see. I love you all the same.
Mom, I know you want to come back. Yet the road is so long. The odds against us stacked. Lord it seems so wrong.
