Awake to face blurred eyes, filled with tears. I have become a sad case. Having lost you after so many years. My hands seem to always shake. When I lay down to sleep I stay half awake. No it's never to deep. I wait for you in my dreams but you seem so far away. Last words I heard is see you again someday.
Cold the chill that runs up my spine. With the thought of you no longer being mine. Again my eyes fill with tears. my heart broke, Now alone to face the years. If I could go, leave it all behind. Just to be by your side. What joy I would find. Yet I know I have some purpose here. What it is, right now doesn't seem clear.
So now without my partner how will I face the day. All I want is to go back to sleep. When I awake this nightmare will go away. Again I'll look upon your smileing face. We will be in another time. In another place. With my eyes closing, the blurr now replaced with visions of you. As I say goodbye to this life I face a life renewed
