Anything left in the jug? : Holiday Poetry

written by Poet : cavirzanee

What of words, that were all said? What of the countless days ahead? Dancing in the silver moons glow.Dancing leaves across the field blow.

The racoon and the rabit are eatting in the yard.. Bullfrog singing near the pond. Some notes are a bit too hard. Butterfly flies across the gate and beyond.

Heard another tale about Fried Meat Road. Who knows what to believe? One story bout a meat truck that lost it's load. Thus a new name to recieve.

Where are you heading? Do you know where you've been? Maybe to a warmer setting. Some place closer to my kin. Is there anything left in the jug? Sure could use a sip. So shut up and give me a hug. Don't want no more of your lip.

Sunlight cascaded across the room. Running shadow out and away. Jasmine smoke in the light looms. Refreshing us, as we greet a new day.

Gathering all the strength welled up deep inside. To use it too conquer my foe.As upon my horse I ride. Leaving my enemy dead behind,I go.

The bottles are empty laying all around. All the lights are off .Everyones sleeping in the town.New Years Eve has come and gone.A new year now begun.

Anything left in the jug? Now in morning's light. Just in case had my grave dug. Didn't think I'd make it through the night.
