Within the walls of my soul, I seek refuse. Hiding from the man I believe I am. Caught in the pain of an existence. I feel used. I stand without resistance. Waiting for it to conclude. Knowing it is all wrong. Another poet, another song.
What darkness steals the light? When the light is gone. Who prays for the night? When the switch is on. Who concludes what is right? When everything is wrong. Another poet, another song.
I have no fear of life or death. Only a line drawn in the sand. A distant breath, drawn by an ordinary man. Holding tight to anything that has the appearence of reality. Lord knows I want to be set free. But everything is wrong. Another poet, another song.
