A Passage : Formal Poetry

written by Poet : cavirzanee

Tell me tales of distant lands, battles fought long ago. The excape of the pauper. Hands of age, battle scares to show. Take me down the back streets, Alley darkened by sin. At the masters feet. In the lions den. Walk me through the fire. Not a hair to scorch. Take me higher. Light my way with your torch. Shine, Forever igniting the path before me.Find the truth  in what the future has in store I see.

Lay your hands on me. Fill me with your spirit. Intercept the dellusion, caught on the hands of time. Hear it? More than an illusion. More than the spirit of wine. A voice. A calling from a distant plain. Without choice,Born to suffer in pain. Waiting on the white horse as it passes in the night. On it's never ending course. Ever chasing the light.

When all days have gone. And the end at last has come. Will I be the one, Caught with my head in the rum? Will I be blasted as a hundred times before. Or will I see forgiveness When I pass through that door. Never more to suffer. Not stronger, not tougher. Just a lonely voice. A passage A choice.
