A Million Miles Away : Creative Writing

written by Poet : cavirzanee

My granddaddy was bed fast. Lord he got mean. Don't know if it was the frustration of not being able to move around. Or if it was the knowledge that he was dieing. Anyway, strange things happened after he died. Granddaddy's shoes kept moving around from place to place. Stange noises. Not sure what they were. But the strangest thing was when we began painting the house. Words written in red ink. I'm a million miles away. It was written by my grandfathers hand. Mom painted over it. The next day it was back again. I'm a million miles away. Mom thought maybe it was the type of ink causing it to bleed through. Well, mom got some Kilns Stain covering paint and painted it over again. The next day on the wall again. I'm a million miles away. Mom didn't know what to think. Mom went to the hardware store and told them the Kilns didn't work. They gave my mom varnish. Told her it would cover it.Then she could use white paint over it. Mom did as they said. After three days. Mom looked and saw I'm a million miles away. Don't make me go let me stay.

The paint is dry and cracking now. But if you look you can still see, I'm a million miles away. Don't make me go, let me stay.
