Their Mothers eyes glisten, their Fathers swell with pride,
As both remember a day long ago when they to were groom and bride.
The young couple stands alone, nothing matters but one another,
As they solemnly take the oath no man can put asunder.
Overcome with Mother memory's, glisten turns full to tears,
Churning up misty remembrances of those endless childhood years.
Fathers go thru their advice list - far to large in size,
Yet in the end say nothing, relying on the past and family ties.
Remember communication – the moisture that keeps gardens of love green,
Silence is the heat that will deaden it – make it brown and lean.
You two are now one – both good and bad times lie ahead,
Unforseen crisis will test you, as down unknown paths you will tread.
Together you will be strong – alone far to weak,
Remember, it's in each other's eyes that lies the power that you seek.
We wish you healthy children and the respect of each others space,
You must take from each other's love only what you are willing to replace.
