A Tribute
A tribute to mom the best friend I ever had.
She was a better friend than even my dad.
She cooked our meals on an old wood stove. She washed and patched our dirty and torn clothes.
When we had a cold she wiped our nose and changed our diapers in the days of old.
She minded our wounds when we got hurt.
She worked hard everyday to keep us clean, clothed and fed and how I miss her now that she is dead. She seemed to stay in the shadows so we could shine.
I wish you could have met this mother of mine.
