My son the Critic
My son is my best and worst- critic
I appreciate my son’s critiques
They are honest!
I know my son, has my best- interest,
in his heart.
There is no one who is a greater living testimonial.
of my life, better- than “my own son.”
And there is no one who - understands it more.
He has seen me go through a life time of pain-
learning from the ups and downs of figuring out,
-trying to learn- how to reach others.
Seen me suffer the agonies of defeat
And the glorious victory’s of Victory!
While, my son is really book smart-
From sending him to college.
I am life smart, I am the faith of my son!
Just as all mothers are.
While at times his thoughtful helpful hints
with my work, do sting!
I listen to my son!
I think them out and try to find the balance,
between his analytical thinking,
and my spiritual revelations.
You see, my son is as your sons.
Growing up in a world, they have
All our son’s and daughters have seen:
The good whom love and serve.
Don’t always get the rewards, credit-
For good deeds done, in this world.
I feel if I can reach my children- by listening
Then I will know
How to reach your sons, your daughters.
This is why -
It’s the most stinging blinking fun-
To spar the great mind on my son.
I love you Beau- thanks for keeping me balanced in the real world.
You’re the twinkle in my eye
My worst and best loving critic.
