Marching Springs Wind : Classical Poetry

written by Poet : blue-rose

Marching Winds Signal

March winds signal

Howling on my prairie grass

Cardinals dancing with their mates

Hanging out with a kiss of fate

Gathering seeds from my feeders

Herb seeds germination for my garden

The snow and cold lingers

Longing to open up my windows

To breath fresh air

Anticipation of the great Spring

Patiently awaiting my prairie grass to rise

MY wildflowers to pop back up

A genesis of nature on my mind

Hoping the cold goes away soon

Yet, thankful for a normal winter

Wondering what flowers, beauty- reappears?

In my environmental gardens of love

No curtains on my windows

A brave rabbit tracks in the snow

Saw him one morning, a few days ago

Waiting for them to dance their mating games

While I watch through my windows

Cock pheasants strutting by at dusk

The sun rising with violet, bright blue hues

Worrying about my roses coming back

Didn't trim or cover them

Its survival of the fittest here

No matter how much I love you

The secret that I know is:

"We must survive the winter!"

Day light savings time about to shine

The sun will climb and rise at new times

Days grow longer, knowing I feel better

When the sun shines longer

Realizing we are all solar

Marching winds howling loud

Bringing Aprils rain and thunder!

By May everything turns green and new

If you love the flowers, bees

Butterflies and birds they see

And always come back to you

March winds its signal
