Jealous of a SMILE! : Creative Writing

Jealous of a smile

When I was a young woman, people considered me pretty. Personally I could write pages tearing myself down physically and I worked my whole life on inner beauty. The one beautiful thing about aging is; when you accept it gracefully you come to find people love you for you. At this point in life I find I have more woman friends. Women actually smile at me and speak to me more than they ever did. Aging in this society is dreaded, it has become a virus, and if you don't cosmetically alter yourself and work out standing on a sweating machine to tone yourself to perfection. You're ugly, out of shape and old to boot at 22. And if you write about it many think its because your mad your older or angry because you don't think you are. Guess what kids, I love being older; I like my wrinkles- they were earned. And I personally, (hoping my audience will agree with me) I'm severely sickened by people who refuse to age normally. People, doing anything to be beautiful, anything including inject themselves with botulism and aborted fetuses in a quest to be young, beautiful and socially acceptable. Unfortunately having studied anatomy I can tell every nip, cut and lack of expression on your phony faces and it's gross! And let us not forget they are now computer enhancing older people and young to air brush perfect.

Thankfully I personally have never been plagued with jealousy. She is the root of the deepest acts of hate, resentment and brings very deep pain. A few relationships in my life that have featured the, "green eyed monster," JEALOUSY. Was rarely on my part and was too often a person committing acts to make me jealous –purposely. Provoking this cruel emotion. My life is devoted to art; it made me often stare at beautiful woman, admiring them.  It caused me to study anatomy, and art. Finding great beauty of a Raphael painting, Botticello, lovely full figured girl and anatomy of all types.

As an artist I find older peoples faces have character, we all have one side wrong with our faces. People who have a larger nose, I think it makes them cheery, interesting. The one thing that I love more than anything is beauty that comes from within. A smile, happy, content, at peace, comfortable with them selves human face and body. This is truly what is pretty poetry in motion. In my artistic trained eye its gorgeous and those people seem to have a radiant shine. Truly beauty is within and we should- everyone; find it sad that people are jealous of that too. Jealous- of a smile.  And they will do anything to rip that smile off some one else's pretty imperfect face. Thankfully I was blessed with a virtuous mother who taught her children "pretty is, as pretty does." And this is a great lesson I taught my children and the one I am hoping this blob of words teaches you. Be not jealous of a smile, look beyond the physical and love yourself because when you do. People notice and if they do not like you for being happy and content within. Please don't let them rip your face off and keep smiling. Beauty, grace, dignity is something to be admired; its something we all should try to be "on the inside."

If people are jealous of a smile, some "things" are really wrong with them. They obviously have deep issues and its best to shy away from the jealous creatures. They will continue to cause you deep pain, rarely change, forget them and move on. Or you will find you will spend the rest of your life fighting their inner demons. They also lead you into jealous acts and it becomes a pattern of competition and constant agony. Friends or lovers, sisters or brothers, it doesn't change and you can't cure them. Please do not let others drag you down into their pit of despair, never let them take away your, "you" And please get rid of the monster, she's a nasty deadly sin. Jealousy.

And a horrible stage in life the greater percentages of people don't grow out of.
