 Halloween time

 

My windows are covered with ghosts, goblins

Painted with graves, bats and pumpkins

A head with a skeleton, that sings the monster mash

Gathering the last of my garden, harvesting crops

Candy corn in a bowl,

 A witch I made sitting on my vanity drawers

A big velvet black hat with a pink ribbon

Sitting next to sewing, my daughters costume

Somebody ate Miss Kitties, kittens

I am certain it's that owl I hear hooting

The coyotes are coming in close, howling, screeching

The ghosts are trying to get in!

Hunting for souls to haunt and enter

Saw a red cardinal on the tree, telling me

To remind you all

Its Halloween time.
