CAMERA BUGS The white butterflies flighty, flights, a black dot on inside wings Monarchs putting on a show, rarely poses, giving a rare appearance The brown and orange beauty loves sweet syrup and nectar Holding in it’s wing tightly his beautiful secrets of hidden colors Thousands of butterflies posing, teasing, when I don’t have my camera The yellow Swallowtails have too many with beaten wings, lost tails In my environmental garden of love, the butterflies are my angels Some of the grasshoppers have red inside wings, only shown in flight The green and yellow caterpillars are brave fellows, blindly they cling Awaiting their metamorphosis, weaving cocoons, on a journey to fly Posing, prosing, in poise, the wasps are brave fellows, carrying stingers My big bumbling bees, blindly crash in my window, calling me outside The Japanese beetles, munching on my rare blue roses, eating my pets Refusing to use seven chemicals to kill them or it will destroy, kill rare flies Hauling buckets of water mixed with soap, to slide them off instead Beautiful yellow finches, shy, stand on my tallest flowers, posing colors The bugs, birds, and bees, flowers, trees, clouds, weeds always posing When we camera bugs, don’t have our camera
