Our world has grown classless, casual
People attending funerals, wearing jeans
The poorest man, woman
Should pull out his only jacket
Her only skirt, dress ironed
In respect for the dead
Its hard for the few with dignity
Living in times politeness, became passé
A hand shake, common courtesy
Left in our twenty first century
Too casual on Fridays all week
Wearing tacky attire, few smiles
Fewer cards of thanks, letters, notes
Rarely, a thinking of you
Computer voices in follow ups
Sales calls from robots
Too few, saying please, thank you
Somehow those whom do-
Feel inappropriate, when appropriate
Living in a world of the classless
Dressing in a funeral of class
