A tribute to all soldiers who have fought bravely for their countries.
Brave Soldiers
As the bombings continue at its targets,
Our heart beats accelerate,
Beyond its normal speed,
The sounds of bombs deafening our ears,
This may be our last day on earth,
Yet our hope is still hanging high.
The bombings continue to strike ferociously,
Nevertheless we crawl and duck,
Avoiding these deadly weapons of hell,
However weak and feeble we seem to be,
For many days we have not tasted food,
Yet we drag ourselves forward.
We are the courageous soldiers,
An honour being in the front line,
Thousands have already demised,
Many casualties lie on the ground,
Dead or half dead makes no difference,
We steadfastly fight like a fort of steel.
Our hope is not deterred,
Even the next convoy fails to arrive,
We will not be defeated,
We are the brave ones,
Our spirit of determination lives on,
It is an honour to die for our country.
Maybe this will be our lucky day,
We may still hang on to our fight,
Till death then we submit,
We may not last till the next convoy arrives,
We may not even see the sunrise tomorrow,
But we will not retreat whatever it takes!
