Stars, so tiny and so bright
Winking at me in the middle of the night
In the bed I toss and turn
My soul is restless
For silence I yearn
Stars, such shimmering beauties
Providing light for the world tonight
I may be in the dark, but never completely
Thanks to the precious stars
I'm not ready for the sun as the stars fade
So bright, it burns
Too much
I belong to the night
It fits me best
So give me back my north star
And all the rest
Sweet black-blue sky
With my bright pieces of paradise
I may accept all the light one day
But until night arises
I shall hang my head and sigh
