You see that star, that bright one up in the northern heavens, See how it shines and twinkles, how beautiful it is , almost like imagining your smile,
I use to take joy gazing upon it, thinking your eyes were gazing upon it at the same time, Love ran thru my soul, every thought of you collected and recalled over and over again, It was like playing my favorite movie,
What was once hope, is now agony, what was once beautiful has now become just a star, each days gaze slowly diminishes, distance tares at the fabrics of our strengths and exposes our weaknesses,
It use to be you called me every day, and not just once but over and over again, some of the simplest things Ive asked for have become some of the biggest tasks for you to accomplish,
You said youd call me right back, and then you dont, you said you would do something for me, but now I think you wont,
When things get tough, when distance grows between us it makes me think, maybe Ive seen this distance before, I know Ive felt its pain, maybe its me pulling back, the future is uncertain and another let down will surely bring the rain,
The rain of tears from eyes that have seen an ever diminishing future, A heart that has been broken in the past and has grown to hate the insecure,
