In the forest I stand tall but go unnoticed, I see the other trees swaying in the breeze together while I feel invisible, I’m seen as strong and independent by my peers, I feel alone and week, misplaced on a world not of my own, Its odd how I gaze upon the heavens and feel my home is distant from here, Sometimes I feel abandoned as I look intently above, Did I do something wicked to be located so far away from my ancestors, To be put years away from the stars I call home, As I swing with the breeze trying to get pleasure from life I question, Are there any as I , swaying alone with eyes that notice others are at home, With hearts that are lonesome for the stars, Waiting and wanting to be scooped off this planet and finally brought home, I am but an orphan dropped off, Unwelcome in the heavens and planted here on earth, Full of creativity and fun to be around for those who choose, But alone I feel nothing but the emptiness crawling into my life, I stand toe to toe with the nothingness everyday, To it I say I will not become as you, I am something, I am someone, I am wonderfully gifted, Open and honest, I am fun, I am not like you, I am merely searching for my home, My place on this world that at least feels like home, Till one day I will finally rise up into the heavens, The moment I’ve waited for, Forgiveness for whatever I have done to be placed amongst the happy, Amongst those who let me go unnoticed, For in this world I am but a tree, With feelings of standing in a desert, With sand between my toes, And the only sounds to be heard are those of wisps of wind Through my own branches,
