Over the years I have recalled the times you were gone,
Work, Work, Work, we never had fun,
Mom would take us to games and shows,
Shopping and ice cream,
Hair cuts and clothes,
You seemed to be distant when we needed you near,
but before we new it you would disappear,
I can recall watching you leave and going off on your own,
The king of your castle but never on your thrown,
Paying bills and putting food on the table,
Taking care of the family needs and keeping our lives stable,
I now look back and take time to cry,
You did it all for us, sacrificing all of your time,
To work all of your life and not have any fun,
