Wave them Flags : Fourth of July

written by Poet : Jeff Pelsang

Time served in a foreign land,

time to go back and leave the sand,

Anticipating the greeting they hope to get,

Looking forward to loved ones and the family pet,

It's been a long time since they've seen home,

Many dreams about swimming at the lake and skipping stones,

The flight quiet with many thoughts filling their heads,

Some of back home and what it will feel like sleeping in their own beds,

Some with babies never seen,

Some who missed their daughters Sweet Sixteen,

Others with thoughts of leaving their friends,

Praying they stay safe in that desolet land,

With squealing tires touched down smiles fill the plane,

Excitement seen by everyone once again,

One by one they exit to crowds,

"Wave them flags Americans"

Soldiers you make us Proud!

This poem about the fourth is dedicated to those past and present. The heroes who risk their lives and would rather not be called hero. I personally cant be any prouder then I am right now of our men in women in uniform. They serve, they sacrifice, and I love them for doing so.

HURRAHHHH
