V-Day...The Day after
Another day of love has come and gone,
Some spent the time with their loved ones while some all alone,
Flowers sprinked across the land,
Chocolates exchanged from hand to hand,
Today I sit and reflect on yesterday,
Poetic in thought I watch my visions play,
Im dancing in candy groves of brilliant colors that fill my site,
Young couples swimming together across pools of fudge delight,
Fields of roses as far as the eye can see,
"Then I see them", sitting in the corner away from you and me,
Those people who didnt recieve a thing,
Heads held down wearing frowns as crows screech and spread their wings,
There are so many without love that my joy melts away,
The rainbow skittle road vanishes and everyone stops their play,
Tears roll down my cheek as compassion surfaces,
Whispers from the lonely sounds like curses,
I walk to them with arms open wide,
One by one I hug them all and join them at their side,
Soon we are joined by other lovers far and near,
Together, forever, we spread our love and share our cheer,
Never to let another Lonely heart feel empty and bare...
