The Walls : Love Poetry Writing by a Poet out of Dallas TX

I know this wall that towers high, Built by past relationships, and the tears that you’ve cried.

I stand in front looking on with the will to break it down, With patience, love, and persistence I’ll knock it to the ground.

My heart is a sledge hammer beating with great force, My mind is focused as my will keeps me to the course.

It may take a month; it may take a year, As long as I have hope this wall will disappear.

If you could see beyond what blocks your view, And take a little chance, I’ll show you a heart that’s true. Sharing in the life’s long dance,

With both of us removing a brick each day. Our eyes will meet and together our hearts will lay, Lip to lip Hand in hand, I dream that someday I may be your man.

	Walls Hello Jeff, I enjoyed your poetic express. Walls need to be removed. What a lonley place to behind a wall of protection so it ay seem.
