Taste that smell this,
senses awakened as if just been born,
touch that hear this,
The sounds of the city pounding, the subway vibrates the ground,
For a gray world of cold stone the city manages to be vibrant,
Full of many cultures and the smells , some calling my senses and others making me want to go, these people hustle working the sidewalk like and old worn treadmill, No time to stop, walk walk walk
Tourists stand out like flowers in full bloom,
while the locals blend in as if wearing camoflouge,
Danger is more in the mind but is ready to lunge out given an opportunity,
pick pockets, drug addicts prostitution and more,
always available to all that seek or are sought,
As bad as the city is or can get also mirrors the heart of people
who understand, in a black and white world character becomes
a fashion statement, and in the end of my tourist debut,
I stand at the corner with the smell of fine food,
ummmmmm taste that and smell this,
