The Sun once full of energy and powerful as it raidiated heat has slowly retreated,
Cool days approach and the sound of the wind dancing through the leaves sounds a new season,
Children who once filled the parks and streets have thinned out leaving empty swings and bare fields,
The sounds of basketballs hitting the board can longer be heard,
Summer is over and the excitement or dread for a new school year is realized,
The sounds of locker doors slamming shut and the constant chaotic buzz of school children filling the hallways will be heard,
Sleeping late will be replaced with searching for socks and shoes in the morning, or maybe looking for some hair jell to hold down your childs callock,
Summer is not forgotten but has become like an old friend that drifts away,
Early morning brisk air will soon have you looking for winter coats,
The whining of board children will end with their new homework filled days,
Back to school is a blessing as it allows you to clean house and finally take control,
Your days grow longer as the week proves to be unfulfilled and empty of the static your children caused,
Summer, I will miss you, I will miss the times you brought our family together, I will miss the warmth of the ocean water and the rolling sounds from the waves,
So long summer, Hello fall........
