On the bottom step I hesitate,
Without guidance I have no educational fate,
I seek to be taught and learned,
Knowledge wanted as my mind yearns,
A sponge waiting to absorb,
Please lead me for I am bored,
Show me how to read and show me how to write,
Brighten my horizons with your literary might,
Walk tall giver of the mind,
fill my head with thoughts new and kind,
Teach what you will for I am your to lead,
Down roads of growth till I bloom for I am just a seed,
Shower me with things unknown and help me find my way,
From a giving heart I have a chance so feed me before I stray,
Years from now when I bloom in full color Ill come back to you,
Thanking you for your generious guidance and helping me stay in school,
Educated with a Zest for life I read almost every day,
You opened my mind and gave me good times,
In my mind you'll always stay....
