This poem is written to encourage people this holiday season to think of others and help those who are in real need. You may have alot of wants but please think of those who need items and food to help them survive. Also try to open doors for people, assist a neighbor or stranger, smile and spread some cheer...Say hello often and look at the person when you do so they really know you mean it.
Self Sacrifice

Always a step behind as I help those who are in need,
To let them feel the light while I stay behind and bleed,
I often ask , "when is it my time to shine",
Deep inside I know whats right so patients has become mine,
Self Sacrifice and the act to please those who are above,
To walk in the steps of Jesus and treat strangers all with love,
Now acts of good spread like wild fire as good deeds multiply,
From one to another will help each other until the day we fly,
God's children, all different and yet the same,
with actions speaking louder then words were judged until the end,
In your heart you'll find a spot that is warm,tender and kind,
So help those who reach, share and teach, and break the bread you use to call mine,
We all are brothers and sisters fathered by only one,
And good or bad were looked upon as daughters and or sons,
With every good deed I feel his pride and he encourages me to another,
With hope all around I lift off the ground upon Gods wind Ill one day hover,
So if your in need and you live without greed others will come your way,
Your hunger will feed, Your roof we will build, and love in your heart will stay.....
