Every year this time comes again bringing me back to my childhood friends,
With memories of such joy and fun running the streets in search of candy and gum,
Bags in hand energized for a killing, they'll be filled to the brim if the candy givers are willing,
Witches, Goblins, monsters , and ghosts, the Halloween streets are filled from coast to coast,
Fun filled night where kids own the street, rewarded by saying "Trick or Treat",
To be a child again and relive the past, my inner child helps to make sure the memory lasts,
Now I'm the candy giver and fill the bags to the top, the one that children go to for their number 1 stop,
Year after year the word spreads through the hood, I am the Candy Man is clearly understood,
The giver of sweets in quantities unreal, large candy bars given at will,
My fond past thoughts of friends and good times have paved the way to give me a giving mind,
Where the gift to give is much better then recieving, when a time for doubt is replaced by believing,
This year under the pale lit moon I will halucinate as I see flying witches on brooms,
I will see ghost hover up to my door, the Living dead drag their bodies across my floor,
Ballet dancers dance with such grace, babies in costume with smiles on their face,
My empty property and home filled once again with children and laughter, a gift I am grateful for days beofre Halloween and long after.....

Getting older we learn we must grab whatever time with children and friends we get is precious. AS those moments grow few with time our appreciation for them grows.
The older we get the more the child in us comes out to relive those momnets that were ours. Those days where there was no beginning or end just the joy of living the ride, feeling the rain on our heaven gazing faces, and experienceing everything with a senes of Awe...
I am a Child Once Again....
