Misty Moors : Adult Poetry

written by Poet : Jeff Pelsang

Dark across The Landscape with the moon hidden from sight, Eerie tales pierce the concious of most but not the brave young knight, Shapes and shadows dance within cool Misty fog, Croaking from larger then lifes unknown from the well hidden frogs, Charles a young knight stedfast on his horse with sword at his side he sticks to his course, In search of his love a maiden his quest, Through the fog he doth rides cutting the air without rest, The sounds of his horse breathing out loud and in pace, Is in tune with its hooves pounding the ground as it raced, Romance of past times with honor and kind, Leave a young maiden just waiting for her prince charming to find, Without haste he kicks at his horse for more speed, Blazing unstoppable into the darknes of the forest welll treed, Far from the castle and safety of home, This young lad risks all and goes it alone, Thieves, murderers, dragons, and beasts, Hide waiting for new meat with some hungry to eat, But with sword raised High he keeps them at bay, Breaking the wood darkness hidden by day, A small scottish village his new found love sits, Patiently still awaiting a young knights first kiss, Cross the fields he swooshes down through the green covered fields, His maiden stands and then runs when she spots him to greet um, A tired horse slows to a stop from its long knights run, Two lovers kiss under an 18th century sun.
